the kakapo is a ground dwelling parrott from new zeland. they are super friendly, fat and have forgotten how to fly
they smell really good to find eachother, (musty-sweet odor) which unfortunatly also attracts pretadores
to attract females, the male digs a little bowl, sits in it and makes a subwoofer-like booming sound, which can be heard really far but is impossible to locate
in the unlikely case they don’t get eaten (they never run away) they get 95 years old
sadly, these are all the kakapo there are in the world.
they are super endangered. in 2018 there were only 148 of them.
